Anthony David Gonzalez is a ex- American football tight end, who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. The NFL's most successful tight ends and third-best overall receivers, he has been named the NFL's leading tight end in terms of yards received, receptions and receptions, among other things.
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end with the Kansas City Chiefs as well as the Atlanta Falcons, is currently employed at FOX's studio. Gonzalez was an anchor for FOX NFL KICKOFF for the past few years. FOX NFL KICKOFF is FOX NFL's pregame hour show which airs before FOX NFLSUNDAY. It airs at 11:45 AM ET every Sunday during NFL season.
Gonzalez signed a new contract with the Falcons for two years and $11 million on March 15 2013. The signing was in spite of being aware that Gonzalez had claimed he planned to retire following the 2013 NFL season. Randy Moss retired in 2013, and Gonzalez aged 37 when he left, completed the year that ended his playing career in the position of being the NFL most prolific receiver of yards.
